The Handphone Shop never really had a web presence in Singapore,
although they had a UK one for a brief spell.
Our proposal focussed on the site's purpose: to strengthen their
brand, and to sell/service existing and new customers. |

| Challenges: |
| As the company's presence is purely that
of a retail shop, unlike how Singtel, Starhub, and M1 have positioned
themselves, we were posed with the challenge of proposing a design
that was different, yet offered products and services to mobile phone
users/buyers. |

| Solution: |
After a critical analysis of local and
overseas competitor sites, we felt strongly that the focus of our
design and architecture should be on the site's usability.
Apart from the Quick Search facility, where users can look for
their preferred products in 2 different ways, we also included a
function to recommend phones to shoppers.
Alternative routes to special deals and featured products ensured
that the promotions were accessible from different pages.
